Available 24/7 — Emergency mountain road recovery
Lookout Mountain rises over 2,000 feet above the Tennessee Valley, creating some of the most challenging towing and recovery conditions in the Chattanooga metro area. The roads that climb its slopes — Ochs Highway from St. Elmo, Scenic Highway from the west side, and the historic Incline Railway grade — feature sustained steep grades, blind switchback turns, and narrow shoulders bordered by rock walls and guardrails.
For commercial vehicles, the mountain presents unique hazards. Delivery trucks servicing the residential communities at the summit, tourist coaches heading to Rock City and Ruby Falls, and construction vehicles working on mountain properties all face the same challenge: roads that were designed for Model T traffic volumes, not modern heavy vehicles. When a truck loses brakes on Ochs Highway or a delivery van overheats climbing Scenic Highway, standard flatbed tow trucks often can't navigate the turns to reach them.
ASAP Towing maintains equipment and trained operators specifically for mountain road recovery in the Lookout Mountain area. We're 20 minutes from the base of the mountain at our Ringgold headquarters, and we respond to calls on both the Tennessee and Georgia sides of the summit. Our operators know every switchback, every narrow section, and every turnaround point on the mountain's road network.
